Most patients report only mild discomfort. The area is fully numbed with local anaesthetic; any post-procedure soreness is usually manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.

Expect mild bruising or swelling for a few days. Rest for 24–48 hours, wear supportive underwear, and avoid heavy lifting for about a week. Most men return to desk work after 2–3 days.

Sex is usually fine after 7 days if comfortable. Light exercise can resume after a few days; wait ~1 week for strenuous activity or contact sports.

Yes—continue contraception until your follow-up semen analysis confirms that no sperm are present (typically around 12 weeks and/or after a set number of ejaculations).

We arrange a lab semen analysis after the procedure. You’ll receive clear instructions and results; only stop alternative contraception once you’re officially cleared.

No. A vasectomy only stops sperm from entering the semen. Testosterone levels, sex drive, erections and the volume of ejaculate remain essentially the same.

Complications are uncommon with the no-scalpel method. Possible issues include bruising, infection, temporary swelling, or a small lump (sperm granuloma). We’ll explain risks and how we minimise them.
