Dr Kerstin O'Connor is an experienced GP, working as a GP partner in a large NHS practice in Surrey. She qualified from Leicester University Medical School in 1996.
Dr O'Connor has a specialist interest in metabolic medicine and has a diploma in "Diabetes in Primary Care", focusing on the management of type 2 diabetes. She feels passionate about providing excellent, holistic patient care, involving patients in their treatment choices and encouraging them - where appropriate - to take ownership for improving their health by making the necessary life style changes.
She also holds a diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology and is a GP trainer, supervising young doctors in their GP training. Dr O'Connor is PCN Education Lead for her local primary care network and has also received specialised training in the assessment and diagnosis of Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), further enhancing her commitment to comprehensive patient care.
Outside work, Kerstin enjoys hiking, reading and going to the theatre and opera.
