Dr. Maria Nyekiova

Dr. Maria Nyekiova qualified from Barts and The London Medical School in 2010. As a compassionate and dedicated GP, she takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on the overall well-being of each individual. She has a special interest in mental health, addressing a wide range of conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and more severe mental health issues. She is deeply committed to supporting child health, frailty, musculoskeletal problems (including joint injections), and skin problems, always striving to provide personalised care that enhances her patients' quality of life.

She has developed a passion for travel health and immunisations, helping patients make informed choices to ensure their health and safety for both everyday life and travel adventures.

Dr. Nyekiova is a GP Partner at a local practice and looks after a local care home, ensuring high-quality care for residents. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as the Mental Health Lead for her Local Primary Care Network (PCN), where she has played a key role in developing mental health services that meet the needs of the community.

Outside of work, she enjoys perfecting her gluten-free baking skills, travelling, and embracing the refreshing challenge of cold water swimming.
